Hillary Clinton for President in 2016 US Elections

Today, I want to reaffirm my support Hillary Rodham Clinton for President in the 2016 elections. From all the candidates running, Hillary possesses the acumen, resilience, and scope of experience and knowledge on the full range of issues of paramount importance to the American people.
As an LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex) rights activist, it’s incumbent upon me to endorse a candidate who is a champion for equality and science and represents my feminist-freethinking-queer constituents. In this field, the Democratic leadership is on the right side of history by wholeheartedly supporting LGBTI rights. All of the Democratic Party presidential candidates runnng for President in the 2016 US elections support LGBTI equality.
Unfortunately, the leadership in the Republican Party continue to obstruct gay rights as they always have since they only know how to campaign in a climate of fear, hate and warmongering. All of the Republican Party presidential candidates are against gay marriage event though it is a federal law and the majority of Americans support LGBTI rights.
Hillary has evolved from her previous objection to gay marriage and has spent her life fighting for equality for all, and has been a vocal advocate for LGBTI rights throughout her career.
•In the U.S. Senate, Hillary championed hate crime legislation, fought for federal non-discrimination legislation to protect LGBTI Americans in the workplace, and advocated for an end to restrictions that blocked LGBTI Americans from adopting children.
•As secretary of state, Hillary led the effort to pass the first-ever U.N. Resolution on LGBT Human Rights, launched the Global Equality Fund, ended State Department regulations that denied same-sex couples and their families equal rights, helped implement LGBT-friendly workplace policies, and updated the State Department’s policy so that transgender individuals’ passports reflect their true gender.
Hillary urged the Supreme Court to rule in favor of nationwide marriage equality and was proud to celebrate this historic victory. She knows the fight for LGBTI equality will not be finished until every American can not only marry, but also live, work, pray, learn, and raise a family free from discrimination. That’s why Hillary has been spoken out against Republican efforts that would allow companies to discriminate against LGBT Americans. Hillary also supports the Equality Act, which would mean full federal equality for LGBTI Americans.
Hillary will take America into the future and has a plan to make the planet gay-affirmative. America needs a leader of who will promote LGBTI rights in the Islamic World, in China, India, Russia and sub-Saharan Africa where more than three billion people live in 80 states where being homosexual is still considered a crime. The best defense to a safe America and for a more equitable and peaceful world, is for the expansion of justice and rights to the hundreds of millions of LGBTI persons who are excluded and face years to life in prison and subjected to the death penalty for thier sexuality.
The United States needs a President who has the conviction for doing what America does best: spreading cosmopolitan values around the world. We need a Commander-in-Chief like Hillary who will look into the eyes of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other Muslim heads-of-state and nudge them to decriminalize homosexuality and pave the way for LGBTI rights.
If you’re an American who cares about LGBTI equality for your own family and for the expansion of gay rights around the world, then vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton on Election Day.
